USM Course - Supply Chain Management

This course will provide you with an understanding of the key elements of Supply Chain Management.

A case study will be analyzed and discussed to drive deeper understanding of how SCM can be applied to business.

Instructor: Joe Allen M.S. serves as a logistics engineer for Sappi. He has also held similar positions with L.L. Bean and Celestica. Joseph received his Six Sigma training through the American Society for Quality.

  • Costs:
    • The cost of CPIM classes is $350 per person for members and host companies, $450 for non-members, which includes all required material.
    • The LEAN Workshop Seris is $795 per person for members, $1050 for non-members, which includes materials.
    • CSCP self-study materials are available at a discount by using the course registration form to select the appropriate options:
      • Kit for self-study:  $750 members, $1045 non-members
      • Student Slide Booklet:   $15 members, $18 non-members
    • Other Courses and Materials pricing is available upon request.

Sessions information: 

CPIM classes are held one evening a week from 5:00-7:00 pm unless otherwise posted.  Basics of Supply Chain Management runs for 10 weeks, Master Planning of Resources runs for 8 weeks, and all other courses run for 9 weeks. There is an optional review session at the end of each course for students who would like to consolidate their learning and/or prepare for the CPIM exam.

LEAN and CSCP courses will typically also be one evening per week starting at 5:00 or 5:30, for 2-3 hours per session, running for as many weeks as required to cover the material (likely 14+ weeks). Instructors will communicate specifics at the start of each class series.

Courses may be available during daytime hours upon request and special agreements on a case by case basis, if a suitable and available instructor can be found.

 

 

 

Cancellations:  If a class session is cancelled, the instructor will contact the students via email if available.  If an entire class is cancelled, notification will be placed here and any registrants will be notified and money refunded.
